This one is in stunning condition, no breaks, repairs or touch ups and would make a fine addition to any collection. Not many of these have survived the ravages of time. The resulting guitar was the classic Firebird, which was introduced in 1963 and has remained in production. There is no real wear to the back or the fretboard, the original frets have plenty of life left in them. Anthony plays this guitar while he performs with The Wiggles.

Neck on this one is very comfortable to play. Gibson Firebird III is a guitar from the Firebird series and manufactured by Gibson. In addition, Gibson continued to provide customers and dealers with a range of 10 Fender-style custom colour options. As per the reverse Firebird range, Sunburst was the standard finish across all non-reverse models. The one piece body is wonderfully showcased by the light tobacco sunburst finish. Priced at 189.50, upon its release it was the least expensive instrument in the line-up.

There are a few dinks but nothing that really detracts from the look of this guitar. This one has miraculously survived the years in amazing condition, without any kind of modifications or ‘upgrades’ at all. Not many survived the 60’s 70’s 80’s let alone into the Naughties without some kind of issue, usually the dreaded headstock break due to bad case design.
